Paul Cusack
Veterinarian
Paul is a consultant cattle veterinarian, ruminant nutritionist and beef producer with extensive post-graduate training across both intensive and extensive ruminant production systems.
Throughout his career, Paul has held a range of leadership and advisory roles within the livestock and veterinary industries. He has lectured veterinary and animal science students at the University of Queensland, the University of Sydney, and Charles Sturt University, where he serves as an Adjunct Professor. He is also Head Examiner in Beef Cattle Medicine and Production for the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and delivers post-graduate courses in ruminant nutrition and beef production medicine through the Centre for Veterinary Education.
Paul is the Principal of Central Veterinary Services Cowra and Director of Australian Livestock Production Services, providing consultancy to intensive and extensive cattle and lamb enterprises across Australia and internationally. Alongside his professional work, he is also the owner and manager of a cattle trading enterprise, ensuring his advice is grounded in real-world production experience.

Highly respected and deeply appreciated throughout the Cowra and Canowindra communities, she’s known for her kindness, empathy and calm approach — traits that put both pets and people at ease.

Brianna Adams
Veterinarian
Born and raised in Bathurst, Brianna joined the CVS team in August 2024 after graduating from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. With a natural affinity for mixed practice, she brings both compassion and capability to the clinic — caring attentively for our small animal patients while also pursuing her strong interest in large animal medicine and surgery.
Brianna has a particular passion for sheep health and production. She has continued to build her expertise in this field, attending the 2025 Sheep Conference and enrolling in the CVE Ruminant Nutrition Distance Education program in 2026.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find Brianna out on a run or spending time training her energetic kelpie, Dusty.

A proud Billimari local, Mackenna (Mac) graduated from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga before joining the CVS team in August 2024. A natural fit for mixed practice, Mac thrives on the variety and challenges of both small and large animal medicine and surgery, with a particular interest in cattle production.
His passion for equine work has led him to further develop his skills in dentistry, completing the EVDS Level 1 – Essentials of Equine Dentistry in 2025. In 2026, he expanded his knowledge in livestock health by attending the AVA Cattle Conference.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Mac involved with the local rugby team — bringing the same energy and team spirit he shows at work.

Dr Ole graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 2022. Working in both mixed practice and the cattle feedlot settings, Ole has a range of skills for the mixed practice clinic. Ole landed on Aussie soil in August 2024 and immediately began his journey with Central Veterinary Services, also working alongside Dr Paul Cusack with Australian Livestock Production services in the feedlot sector.
Ole has a keen interest in cattle and equine medicine and, outside of work, enjoys rugby!

A familiar face at 102 Darling Street, Danielle is literally part of the furniture! Born and educated in Cowra, Danielle's passion for animals would ultimately lead her to a career in the animal industry. After Year Twelve Danielle headed to Tamworth to complete her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at South Tamworth Veterinary Hospital. During this time she also worked with the newly amalgamated veterinarians in Cowra.
Danielle graduated from Veterinary Nursing in 1995, and for the past 25 years has nursed animals big, small, feathered, furred and scaled! During this time Danielle has undertaken professional development courses, including surgical nursing, bandaging, anaesthesia in small animal practice and further accreditations in nutrition.
Away from her vet family Danielle enjoys spending time with her other family, her husband Shane and kids Tahlia and Kayne. Enjoying netball and tennis keeps her active, as well as looking after the many animals accumulated over the years at work.

Deenita is local to the area, growing up on a family farm at Lyndhurst. From this background she has always enjoyed working with animals, both companion and production.
She has spent time working in the veterinary industry in Cowra since 1996. Deenita currently coordinates the Australian Livestock Production Services office.
When not at the clinic Deenita enjoys camping and water skiing at Wyangala Dam, spending time with her busy family of four children and menagerie of pets. She also has a special interest in wildlife rehabilitation.

Lauren began her nursing career in 2011 at a busy Sydney clinic, where she developed strong experience in breeding, orthopaedics and modern veterinary technologies. The fast-paced environment gave her a solid clinical foundation and a passion for hands-on patient care.
She joined Central Veterinary Services in February 2018 and is a familiar face both on reception and in surgery, assisting across all aspects of nursing. Lauren has particular interests in surgical nursing, breeding, emergency care and large animal work — whether that’s in the clinic or out in the field.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and two beautiful children. She’s also a keen photographer, often found capturing animals and landscapes through her lens.

Jody began her nursing career in 2001 in a busy Hawkesbury practice, where she gained extensive experience across all areas of small animal nursing, including surgery, anaesthesia, critical care and emergency, dentistry, radiology and behaviour.
She graduated in 2003 with her Certificate III in Animal Studies and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, and is also a registered microchip implanter. After 20 years in general practice, Jody expanded her expertise into specialist veterinary nursing, joining SASH (Small Animal Specialist Hospital) as a theatre and anaesthesia nurse before making the tree change to Cowra and joining the CVS team in 2024.
Jody has continued to pursue advanced training in surgery, anaesthesia, CPR, dentistry, orthopaedics, critical care and emergency, as well as puppy pre-school programs — reflecting her passion for high-quality patient care at every stage of life.
Outside of work, Jody competes in Agility, SprintDogs, Lure Coursing and Scent Work with her Cocker Spaniels — Willow and Wren — who certainly keep her on her toes.
